Arin has years of depth experiences handling diverse legal issues both corporate/commercial and litigation matters as well as administrative dispute representing high profile and major companies. He also has extensive experience in general corporate and commercial matters in connection with corporate restructuring, labour, asset disposal, establishment and governance of company, licensing and permits as well as providing advice in day-to-day legal aspects of company. He worked as legal counsel at the Indonesian Bank Restructuring Agency (IBRA/BPPN). Arin also spent several years acting as in-house counsel at PT Chandra Asri, the largest petrochemical company in South East Asia and then joined one of prominent law firm specialized in commercial and administrative litigation in Indonesia, Lubis Santosa & Maulana. Notable experience includes advising and representing:

  • The largest steel factory in Indonesia, in the Citizen Lawsuit over cancelation of shares issuance amounting IDR2.6 quintillion (2011).
  • International Oil and Gas services Company, in the civil dispute at Indonesia National Board of Arbitration (2010). • International Oil and Gas services Company, in the labor dispute over termination of its employer (2009 & 2011).
  • The largest copper and gold mining company in Indonesia, in the civil dispute over termination of cooperation with its supplier (2009).
  • The Japanese international Bank in relation to aplication of good corporate governance practice in its subsidary company (2008).
  • Foreign investment and Indonesian companies engaged in coal mining business in administrative court in relation to issuance of new mining permit to a local company on its concession area (2008).
  • Creditor in credit and corporate restructuring of the biggest fisheries company in South East Asia in relation to issuance of IDR500 billion revitalization loan (2006).
  • Leading international investment bank for an alleged breach of contract in relation to issuance of Letter of Credit (2005).
  • The biggest petrochemical company in South East Asia in managing its various day-to-day legal aspects (2006-2007).
  • Joint venture hotel in relation to its various day-to-day legal aspects (2004-2005).
  • Creditor in credit and corporate restructuring of group of companies engaged in sole-authorized car distributor and followed by convertible bond issuance amounting IDR312 million (2003).
